Cookie Policy

1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy ("Policy") explains how Fielse Commerce - FZCO ("Fielse", "we", "us", or "our") uses cookies, Software Development Kits (SDKs), pixels, and similar tracking technologies on our website (www.fielse.com) and mobile applications (collectively, the "Platform").

This Policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use, which are available on the Fielse Platform. By using the Platform, and by accepting cookies via our consent banner, you agree to the use of cookies and similar technologies as described in this Policy.

We are committed to full transparency regarding our use of tracking technologies. This Policy explains exactly what we collect, why, and how you can control it — including withdrawing your consent at any time.

2. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?

2.1 Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) by websites you visit. They allow the website to recognise your device, remember your preferences, and collect information about how you use the site. Cookies do not give us access to your device or any information beyond what the cookie itself contains.

Cookies can be:

Session cookies: Temporary cookies that are deleted when you close your browser. They are used to maintain your session while you are logged in.

Persistent cookies: Cookies that remain on your device for a set period of time (their "duration") or until you delete them manually. They are used to remember your preferences across visits.

First-party cookies: Cookies set directly by Fielse when you visit our website.

Third-party cookies: Cookies set by third-party services (e.g., analytics or advertising providers) that we have integrated into our Platform.

2.2 Software Development Kits (SDKs)

SDKs are sets of development tools integrated into our mobile applications. They function similarly to cookies but are designed for mobile environments. We use SDKs to ensure video playback performance, platform security, and usage analytics within our mobile app. SDKs operate at the application level and may collect device identifiers and usage data.

2.3 Pixels and Web Beacons

Pixels (also known as web beacons or tracking pixels) are small, invisible images embedded in web pages or emails. When your browser loads a pixel, it sends a request to the server hosting it, which can record information such as your IP address, browser type, and the time of access. We use pixels primarily for measuring the effectiveness of our marketing activities (e.g., the Meta/Facebook Pixel).

2.4 Local Storage

Local storage is a browser-based mechanism that allows websites to store data on your device. Unlike cookies, local storage data does not expire automatically and is not sent to the server with every request. We use local storage for functional purposes such as remembering your language preference and consent choices.

3. Why We Use Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:

Essential / Strictly Necessary: To operate the Platform, maintain your login session, process your subscription, remember your cookie consent preferences, and ensure the security of your account. These are required for the Platform to function and cannot be disabled.

Functional / Preference: To remember your settings and preferences (e.g., language selection) across sessions, so you do not need to re-enter them each time you visit.

Analytical / Performance: To understand how users interact with our Platform — which features are used, how long sessions last, and where users encounter difficulties. This helps us improve the Platform. Analytics data is collected in pseudonymised or aggregated form.

Marketing / Advertising: To measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns and to enable targeted advertising on third-party platforms. Marketing cookies are only placed with your prior consent and may be withdrawn at any time.

Security and Fraud Prevention: To detect and prevent bots, automated abuse, and DDoS attacks via Cloudflare's security infrastructure.

6. Your Consent and How We Obtain It

When you first visit www.fielse.com, you will be presented with our cookie consent banner. This banner allows you to:

Accept all cookies (Essential, Functional, Analytical, and Marketing).

Accept only essential cookies (strictly necessary for the Platform to function).

Customise your preferences by category (Functional, Analytical, Marketing) individually.

We record and store your consent choices. Your preferences are remembered via the fielse_consent cookie for up to one year. You will be asked to re-confirm your preferences if this period expires or if we make material changes to our cookie usage.

Essential cookies are always active and cannot be disabled, as they are strictly necessary for the Platform to function. All other cookie categories require your prior consent. We will not place non-essential cookies before you have given your consent.

Your consent is specific, informed, and freely given. We do not use pre-ticked boxes or bundle consent for different categories together. You may withdraw or modify your consent at any time — see Section 7.

7. Managing and Withdrawing Your Preferences

7.1 Cookie Consent Tool

You can review and change your cookie preferences at any time by accessing the cookie settings panel on our website (typically available via a "Cookie Settings" or "Manage Preferences" link in the website footer). Changes take effect immediately. Withdrawing consent for a category of cookies will cause those cookies to be removed from your device.

7.2 Browser Settings

Most browsers allow you to view, manage, delete, and block cookies. Key options include:

Blocking all cookies: Note that this will prevent essential cookies from operating and may significantly impair or prevent your use of the Platform.

Deleting existing cookies: You can clear cookies already stored on your device via your browser's privacy or history settings.

Blocking third-party cookies: Most browsers offer the option to block third-party cookies specifically, without affecting first-party cookies.

Browser-specific guidance:

Google Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies and other site data

Mozilla Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data

Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data

Microsoft Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Cookies and site data

7.3 Mobile Device Settings

On mobile devices, you can control tracking at the operating system level:

iOS (iPhone/iPad): Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking — disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track" to prevent any app from requesting your IDFA.

Android: Settings > Privacy > Ads — you can reset your advertising ID or opt out of ads personalisation via Google Play.

7.4 Third-Party Opt-Out Tools

You may also use the following third-party opt-out mechanisms:

Google Analytics: Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

Meta / Facebook: Manage your ad preferences at https://www.facebook.com/adpreferences

Your Online Choices (EU): Manage preferences for multiple ad networks at https://www.youronlinechoices.eu

Network Advertising Initiative (US): Opt out at https://optout.networkadvertising.org

8. Cookie Retention Periods

Each cookie's duration is listed in the table in Section 4. In general:

Session cookies expire when you close your browser or end your app session.

Persistent cookies remain for the period specified in the table, unless you delete them earlier via your browser or device settings.

When you withdraw consent via our cookie settings panel, non-essential cookies are deleted immediately from your browser.

If you delete your Fielse account, all first-party cookies associated with your account are also deleted within 30 days.

9. Third-Party Websites and Links

The Fielse Platform may contain links to third-party websites or embedded third-party content. This Policy applies only to cookies placed by or on behalf of Fielse on our Platform. When you access a third-party website or interact with embedded third-party content, that third party's own cookie and privacy policies apply. We recommend reviewing the privacy and cookie policies of any third-party site you visit.

10. Legal Basis for Cookie Processing

We process data collected via cookies on the following legal bases, depending on the category of cookie:

Essential cookies: Legitimate interests (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) — necessary for the secure and functional operation of the Platform. No consent is required for strictly necessary cookies under applicable law.

Functional cookies: Consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a); KVKK explicit consent) — placed only after you have accepted functional cookies via our consent banner.

Analytical cookies: Consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a); KVKK explicit consent) — placed only after you have accepted analytical cookies. Data is pseudonymised/anonymised where technically feasible.

Marketing cookies: Consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a); KVKK explicit consent) — placed only after you have explicitly accepted marketing cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting your access to the Platform.

For users in Turkey, all non-essential cookies require explicit consent (açık rıza) in accordance with KVKK and the Turkish Electronic Communications Law (Law No. 5809) and applicable secondary regulations.

For users in the EEA and UK, our cookie consent mechanism is designed to comply with the requirements of the ePrivacy Directive (as implemented in relevant member states) and the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), in addition to GDPR.

11. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our use of cookies, applicable law, or our Platform's technology. The date of the most recent update is displayed at the top of this document.

Where changes are material — for example, where we introduce a new category of cookies or a new third-party provider — we will notify you via our cookie consent banner upon your next visit to the Platform, and you will be asked to re-confirm your consent preferences where required.
